How about that? Ole Miss held on to a big lead! The Rebels got a much-needed win over Georgia and made it look easy after earlier losing huge advantages in losses to Florida State and Alabama.
Florida couldn’t hold its lead, though. Tennessee snapped an 11-game losing streak to the Gators to move up the rankings, but the Crimson Tide remain at the top after rolling Kent State.
And how about that finish in the Auburn-LSU game? Here’s a look at the rest of the SEC after four weeks.
Week 5 SEC Football Rankings
14. Kentucky
Picked up a solid win over South Carolina on Saturday.
13. Vanderbilt
Tied it at the end of regulation and then stuffed a two-point conversion attempt in overtime to win 31-30 over Western Kentucky.
12. Mississippi State
Survived with a 47-35 win over UMass.
11. South Carolina
Will Muschamps crew fell to 2-2.
10. Missouri
Gave LSU all it could handle last week and then crushed Delaware State 79-0 on Saturday.
9. LSU
LSU couldn’t get the snap off in time on the final play. Les Miles has to be sweating.
8. Auburn
What a thrilling win over LSU – one that Gus Malzahn needed badly.
7. Arkansas
Getting stuffed at the 1-yard line was the turning point in loss to Texas A&M.
6. Georgia
The Bulldogs hope Nick Chubb will be healthy for the Tennessee game next week.
5. Florida
Couldn’t close out the Vols despite leading 21-0.
4. Ole Miss
A much-needed win for the Rebels as they dominated Georgia.
