On Feb. 9, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee gave the country a preview of what the 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket might look like when it revealed the top 16 overall seeds.

Duke, Tennessee, Virginia and Gonzaga were the four No. 1 seeds through the games played on Feb. 8.

It’s worth noting that in the first two years of the Bracket Preview Show, roughly 44 percent of teams that were part of the top-16 reveal earned the same exact seed on Selection Sunday and roughly 80 percent of the teams earned a seed that was within one seed line of the seed they earned in the preview show.

As a reminder, this is the first season in which the selection committee will use the NET rankings as the primary sorting tool for selection and seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Here’s a refresher on the NET rankings from when they made their debut on Nov. 26, 2018.
