The Chattanooga Mocs got off to a wonderful start to the 2015-16 season by picking up a big victory over the Georgia Bulldogs, and they’ve hardly slowed down since. Along with wins over Illinois and Dayton, the Mocs (26-5 overall, 15-3 conference) have notched the top seed in the Southern Tournament.
East Tennessee State isn’t far behind, though, as the Buccaneers have earned a 14-4 record in league games to nab the second seed in the tournament. Led by senior guard Ge’Lawn Guyn (18.1 points per game), ETSU has grabbed some nice wins over the likes of Green Bay and Georgia 
Though the Wofford Terriers have often served as the highlight of this conference in past years, having won four of the last six tournaments, it appears that 2016 will offer new leaders of the pack.
Though the Mocs and Buccaneers have earned their way into the top two seeds, the rest of their Southern Conference foes make for an intriguing field. Here’s the seeding for the Southern Tournament.
