Why UTEP Will Win

The Miners are coming off their best win of the season, handling Florida Atlantic, 27-17. UTEP immediately benefitted from the healthy return of QB Mack Leftwich, who completed 20-of-39 for 271 yards, three touchdowns and no picks to pull within a game of .500.

Why Southern Miss Will Win

UTEP found a pulse on offense a week ago, but the Golden Eagles have been cruising with balance all year long. They’re no lower than third in league scoring and total offense, vexing defenses with the passing of Nick Mullens and a deep backfield led by Jalen Richard and Ito Smith.

What’s Going To Happen?

Southern Miss is playing too well these days to be derailed by an incomplete and inconsistent UTEP squad. The Golden Eagles will once again ride the diverse offense and a rapidly improving D to a comfortable, bowl eligibility-clinching win.
