    1. Stanford broke open a tight game in the second half with a 49-yard Michael Rector touchdown catch and an 11-yard scoring run from Barry Sanders for a 35-17 lead. Oregon State stayed alive on a 40-yard Jordan Villamin touchdown catch, but Sanders put it away with a thrilling 65-yard scoring run showing off the power to bounce through a tackler and the breakaway speed to hit the home run.

    2. Remound Wright ran for two first half scores for the Cardinal and Kevin Hogan found Austin Hooper for a 42-yard touchdown, but Oregon State kept up with Seth Collins and Ryan Nall each running for short scoring runs on the way to a 21-17 halftime deficit.

    3. Kevin Hogan’s injured ankle didn’t appear to be bothering him too much, completing 9-of-14 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns with a pick.

    Stanford

    – Christian McCaffrey ran 30 times for 206 yards, and caught a pass for 38 yards. The Cardinal as a team ran for 325 yards and four scores averaging 6.8 yards per carry.

    – Stanford averaged over 18 yards per catch with Michael Rector averaging 29 yards on his two grabs and Austin Hooper averaged 25 yards on two catches with a score.

    – Time of possession: Stanford 34:35 – Oregon State 25:25

    Oregon State

    – Seth Collins completed 20-of-36 passes for 275 yards and a score and ran 13 times for 12 yards and a touchdown.

    – Jordan Villamin caught seven passes for 138 yards and a touchdown.

    – The running game couldn’t get loose – the longest run was just nine yards.
