    And You Care Because … Michael Gordon started off the scoring with a 44-yard run, and just when it seemed like Idaho was about to answer, Rocky Hayes returned a fumble 93 yards for a touchdown. The Vandals took the lead late into the third quarter with Elijhaa Penny and Jerrel Brown each running for two scores, but ASU and Gordon rolled from there, with the ASU back running for three more touchdowns as part of a 21-unanswered point run.

    – Arkansas State RB Michael Gordon ran 17 times for 105 yards and five touchdowns

    And You Care Because … Texas State took advantage of several NMSU mistakes with Robert Lowe running for two touchdowns in the first quarter and two Terrence Frank scores – the second from a blocked punt return – in the third. New Mexico State’s offense rolled, getting close down 17-14 the end of the first half on a two-yard Joseph Matthews run, but it was all franks early in the second half. NMSU had its moments, and tried to close late on a 13-yard Larry Rose run and a Teldrick Morgan 21-yard touchdown pass, but the Bobcats were able to hold on. 
    What Else? B- 
    – Texas State RB Tyler Jones ran nine times for 82 yards, and Robert Lower ran 16 times for 65 yards and two scores
    – New Mexico State QB Tyler Rogers completed 36-of-52 passes for 404 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions 
    – Penalties: New Mexico State 11 for 76 yards – Texas State 7 for 55 yards

    Nov. 1 Louisiana-Lafayette 19, South Alabama 9 
    And You Care Because … Down 9-3 in the first half after USA went up on a 12-yard Jereme Jones touchdown catch, it was all ULL the rest of the way with 16 unanswered points. Hunter Stover hit four field goals, but it was Elijah McGuire who finally provided a cushion on an eight-yard run with just over five minutes to play. 
    What Else? Louisiana-Lafayette RB Elijah McGuire ran 18 times for 116 yards and a score 
    – South Alabama WR Shavarez Smith caught eight passes for 116 yards
    – Louisiana-Lafayette QB Terrance Broadway completed 16-of-28 passes for 216 yards, and ran 11 times for 54 yards 
    – Total yards; Louisiana-Lafayette 412 – South Alabama 336

    Nov. 1 at Texas A&M 21, ULM 16 
    And You Care Because … After a controversial day, suspending Kenny Hill for two games, Texas A&M struggled to put away ULM, getting up 21-7 in the first half and failing to score the rest of the way. Kyle Allen struggled mightily, but he threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Speedy Noil, and Brandon Williams and Tra Carson each ran for short scores, but ULM scored nine unanswered points on three Justin Manton field goals from 51, 23, and 22 yards out. But the A&M defense was able to bend, but not break late to overcome the offensive struggles. 
    What Else? Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen completed 13-of-28 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown with an interception 
    – ULM QB Pete Thomas completed 26-of-47 passes for 246 yards and an interception, and ran 19 times for 44 yards 
    – Total yards: ULM 347 – Texas A&M 243 
    – Texas A&M RB Brandon Williams ran 19 times for 71 yards and a score

    Nov. 1 at Georgia Southern 42, Troy 10 
    And You Care Because … Georgia Southern was Georgia Southern, getting the running game going early with Kevin Ellison running for scores from six, one and two yards out, and Alfred Ramsby added touchdown runs from four and nine yards away in the breather. Troy managed just a 25-yard Ryan Kay until late, finally getting into the end zone on a three-yard Khary Franklin run with just over a minute to play. 
    What Else? Rushing yards: Georgia Southern 421 – Troy 141 
    – Georgia Southern QB Kevin Ellison completed 5-of-9 passes for 31 yards, and ran 13 times for 99 yards and three scores 
    – Troy QBs Brandon Silvers and Dontreal Pruitt combined to complete 4-of-11 passes for 13 yards

    And You Care Because … The Appalachian State defense came up with a gem, holding Georgia State to 62 yards, while the offense took care of the rest with Marcus Cox running for three scores and Taylor Lamb taking off for a nine-yard score. Georgia State couldn’t make anything go in the snow, and ASU took advantage with four sacks and seven tackles for loss, allowing just eight rushing yards. 
    What Else? Appalachian State RB Marcus Cox ran 29 times for 250 yards and three scores
    – Georgia State QB Nick Arbuckle completed 8-of-17 passes for 47 yards and a pick 
    – Appalachian State RB Ricky Ferguson ran 14 times for 123 yards and a score 
    – Rushing yards: Appalachian State 469 and six touchdowns on 66 carries – Georgia State 8 yards on 26 carries
