If Texas A&M fans weren’t excited enough for the upcoming season, the team gave them even more of a reason on Friday. With the help of adidas, the Aggies unveiled a new set of all-black “Aggie Nights” uniforms. The alternate threads, which will be worn on Halloween when Texas A&M hosts South Carolina at home, utilize adidas’ Primeknit technology.

From the Texas A&M Athletic Department press release:

Made with a cutting-edge, proprietary yarn blend that increases durability and abrasion resistance, Primeknit is the premier compression uniform system, featuring the latest generation of adidas TECHFIT technology. Primeknit helps keep players cool and increases range of motion, giving athletes an unrivaled level of comfort and allowing them to perform at their highest levels. The jersey’s padlock system secures tension over the shoulder pads, while the bodymap fit adheres to the player, making it difficult for opponents to grab, hold or tackle.

The uniforms feature a black jersey and black pants with carbon fiber striping and metallic numbers. Cranking the design up another notch is the all-black HydroSkin helmet, featuring new reflective technology that lights up at night. Laid subtly into the helmet, and offset by a black gloss finish, is the Texas A&M “Lone Star Logo.”

Texas A&M released the following photos on Facebook, giving fans a peek at what they’ll see on the field come Halloween.
