Toledo 52, at Eastern Michigan 16 
And You Care Because … Toledo did its part to take the MAC West title, but NIU beat Western Michigan to ruin the hopes. Even so, the Rockets took care of business early with 42 first half points. Logan Woodside threw five touchdown passes to five different receivers, highlighted by an 81-yard Kishon Wilcher score late in the first quarter and a 59-yarder to Alonzo Russell late in the second. Eastern Michigan got on the board in the second quarter with a ten-yard Kris Strange touchdown, but the game was never close. 
What Else? Total yards: Toledo 513 – Eastern Michigan 215

at Air Force 27, Colorado State 24 
And You Care Because … Air Force stunned Colorado State and ruined a possible dream season with a 39-yard Will Conant field goal as time expired. The Falcons had a 24-10 lead late in the third quarter after Nate Romine gave the team its third short scoring run of the game, but Colorado State roared back with Garrett Grayson finding Xavier Williams for a 76-yard touchdown and Rashard Higgins for a two-yard score. But after coming up with a fourth down stop, Air Force had one last chance with 38 seconds remaining with Romine finding Garrett Brown for a 26-yard pass to set up the game-winning field goal. 
What Else? Air Force QB Nate Romine completed 6-of-15 passes for 135 yards, and ran 25 times for a team-high 61 yards 
– Colorado State WR Rashard Higgins caught 12 passes for 193 yards and two scores 
– Colorado State RB Dee Hart ran 23 times for 115 yards 
– Colorado State QB Garrett Grayson completed 23-of-46 passes for 366 yards and three scores with a pick 
 
10. Navy 42, at South Alabama 40 
And You Care Because … Down 15 with just over eight minutes to play, South Alabama rallied on a 48-yard Brandon Bridge touchdown pass to Shavarez Smith with just over five minutes to play, and came up with a ten-yard touchdown pass to Jereme Jones with 39 seconds to play to pull within two, but the two-point conversion attempt failed after two penalties. The Jaguars had a 17-7 lead in the first quarter helped by Smith’s three-yard touchdown grab, but Navy roared back with the first of Keenan Reynolds’ three touchdown runs scoring on a 67-yard dash and with two one-yard runs, taking the lead for good midway through the fourth on the final Reynolds score. The South Alabama D held late, and the offense stepped up until the two-point conversion misfire.
What Else? Navy RB Keenan Reynolds ran ten times for 119 yards and three scores and completed 1-of-4 passes for 42 yards

9. Old Dominion 31, at Florida Atlantic 28 
And You Care Because … Satchel Ziffer hit a 27-yard field goal with no time left on the clock answer Florida Atlantic’s game-tying score on a Jaquez Johnson 11-yard scoring run with just over five minutes to play. Neither team was up by more than one score, with Taylor Heinicke throwing three touchdown passes for ODU, and FAU getting a Lucky Whitehead punt return for a score as part of a 21-point first half. 
What Else? Old Dominion RB Ray Lawry ran 25 times for 213 yards and a score, and caught three passes for 26 yards 
– Florida Atlantic QB Jaquez Johnson completed 9-of-19 passes for 133 yards, and ran ten times for 70 yards and a score 
– Old Dominion QB Taylor Heinicke completed 32-of-50 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns with an interception

8. Ohio 24, at Miami University 21 
And You Care Because … Josiah Yazdani hit a 28-yard field goal as time ran out to complete Ohio’s comeback over 24 unanswered points. Miami got up 21-0 on a three-yard Andrew Hendrix run and a 13-yard pass to Dawan Scott, and Quinten Rollins returned a pick 27 yards for a touchdown. And then it was all Ohio as Kylan Nelson returned the ensuing kickoff for an 84-yard touchdown to spark a run of 24 unanswered points. Derrius Vick threw two touchdown passes with a 13-yarder to A.J. Ouellette in the third and a five-yarder to Jordan Reid in the fourth, but it took a five-play drive in the final minute to lead to Yazdani’s field goal.
What Else? Ohio QB Derrius Vick completed 10-of-18 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns with a pick, and ran 18 times for 61 yards 
– Miami QB Andrew Hendrix completed 15-of-38 passes for 218 yards and a score with a pick, and ran 19 times for a team-high 70 yards and a score

7. at Alabama 55, Auburn 44 
And You Care Because … In the highest scoring Iron Bowl ever, Auburn had Alabama in trouble in the third quarter up 33-21 on a Nick Marshall five-yard pass to Quan Bray, and then Amari Cooper went off. The star receiver caught touchdown passes from 39 and 75 yards out, after catching a 17-yarder in the first half, as the Crimson Tide scored 28 straight points to take control. Auburn had to get more aggressive after Daniel Carlson hit three field goals in the first 19 minutes, and that’s when the offense exploded, but through the air with Nick Marshall throwing three touchdown passes including bombs to Sammie Coates from 34 and 68 yards away. Blake Sims had a rocky time early, throwing three interceptions, but he wasn’t pulled, worked with Cooper, and the Tide rolled. 
What Else? Alabama WR Amari Cooper caught 13 passes for 224 yards and three scores. Blake Sims completed 20-of-27 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns with three picks and ran five times for 23 yards and a touchdown 
– Auburn QB Nick Marshall completed 27-of-43 passes for 456 yards and three touchdowns with a pick 
– Auburn WR Sammie Coates caught five passes for 206 yards and two scores

6. Nebraska 37, at Iowa 34 OT 
And You Care Because … Nebraska tied it on a 20-yard field goal with eight seconds to play, Iowa took the lead in overtime on a 25-yard Marshall Koehn field goal, and the Huskers responded with a nine-yard Tommy Armstrong pass to Kenny Bell for the win. Down 24-7 late in the third, the Huskers roared back with Armstrong finding Bell on a 32-yard scoring pass and Taariq Allen for a 34-yard touchdown, but it was an 80-yard punt return for a touchdown from De’Mornay Pierson-El to take the lead in the fourth. Iowa took back the lead late on a five-yard Jordan Canzeri touchdown catch with 1:49 to play, but Nebraska marched back quickly to force the extra time. 
What Else? Nebraska RB Ameer Abdullah ran 13 times for 106 yards, and caught two passes for 13 yards and a score 
– Iowa QB Jake Rudock completed 19-of-38 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns with a pick 
– Nebraska QB Tommy Armstrong completed 12-of-27 passes for 202 yards and four scores with two picks, and ran 11 times for 31 yards

5. Baylor 48, Texas Tech 46 in Arlington
And You Care Because … Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty was knocked out of the game with a concussion, and Texas Tech went on a roll. Down 45-20, the Red Raiders came up with four touchdown passes in just under 17 minutes, with a 40-yarder to Bradley Marquez with 1:42 to play to pull within two, but the two-point conversion attempt was stuffed. Patrick Mahomes threw for close to 600 yards for the Red Raiders with six touchdowns, including three to Marquez, but Baylor got a huge day on the ground from Shock Linwood, and Seth Russell stepped in for Petty and threw a 27-yard scoring pass to Levi Norwood for a 42-17 lead. After the two teams traded field goals, Texas Tech rallied, but came up just short. 
What Else? Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes completed 30-of-56 passes for 598 yards and six touchdowns with a pick 
– Baylor QB Bryce Petty completed 18-of-25 passes for 210 yards and two scores, and Seth Russell completed 8-of-17 throws for 82 yards with a touchdown, and ran seven times for 29 yards. RB Shock Linwood ran 24 times for 158 yards and two scores 
– Texas Tech WR Jakeem Grant made five tackles for 155 yards and a score, Bradley Marquez caught six passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns, and DeAndre Washington ran 15 times for 65 yards, and caught six passes for 107 yards and a score

4. Rutgers 41, at Maryland 38 
And You Care Because … Maryland was rolling right along to an easy home win, getting out 35-10 in the first half helped by two Brandon Ross touchdown runs, a 71-yard scoring play to Amba Etta-Tawo, and a nine-yard Deon Long touchdown catch, but all of a sudden, Rutgers got a little ray of light with nine seconds to play on a one-yard touchdown catch from Andre Patton. That started a 31-3 run and a wild comeback with Gary Nova throwing three touchdown passes on the game with Patton catching a ten-yarder early in the fourth to tie it up, and Kyle Federico came through with a 25-yard field goal for the lead and the win with just over six minutes to play. 
What Else? Rutgers QB Gary Nova completed 28-of-42 passes for 347 yards and four scores
– Maryland RB Brandon Ross ran 10 times for 108 yards and two scores. QB C.J. Brown completed 14-of-24 passes for 195 yards and two scores, and ran 14 times for 107 yards and a score 
– Rutgers WR Janarion Grant caught eight passes for 105 yards, Leonte Carroo caught six passes for 104 yards and two scores, and Andre Patton caught eight passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns

3. at New Mexico 36, Wyoming 30 
And You Care Because … Just when it seemed like Wyoming was going to break New Mexico’s heart, with Stuart Williams hitting a 29-yard field goal with just over two minutes to play for a 30-28 lead, Carlos Wiggins came back with a 97-yard kickoff return for a score on the ensuing play. The Lobos got two huge touchdowns on a 75-yard Tyler Duncan catch and a 69-yard Jhurell Pressley run, but Wyoming roared back with Shaun Wick and Brian Hill each running for scores and Stuart Williams hitting two field goals, but Wiggins stole the show.

2. Georgia Tech 30, at Georgia 24 OT 
And You Care Because … Georgia Tech forced overtime on a 53-yard bomb of a field goal from Harrison Butker as time ran out, and Zach Laskey came up with a two-yard touchdown run in the extra frame for the lead. However, the extra point was blocked, giving Georgia the chance for the win, but Hutson Mason was intercepted and the Yellow Jackets came away with the win. The two teams traded scores all game long, but Georgia helped the cause with two early fumbles inside the five. Georgia Tech returned the favor, losing a fumble returned by Damian Swann for a 99-yard score, but the offense answered with a four-yard Laskey scoring run – he ran for three on the day. Georgia took the lead late on a three-yard Malcolm Mitchell catch with 18 seconds to play, but the Yellow Jackets were able to get 21 yards in three plays to set up Butker’s kick. 
What Else? Georgia Tech RB Zach Laskey ran 26 times for 140 yards and three scores

1. Western Kentucky 67, Marshall 66 OT 
And You Care Because … In a wild and crazy game with over 1,400 yards of total offense and giant passing games from both quarterbacks, Marshall’s Rakeem Cato threw his seventh touchdown pass of the game with a 35-yarder to Hyleck Foster in overtime, but WKU answered with Brandon Doughty’s eighth touchdown pass, and then won it on a two-point conversion to Willie McNeal. In an insane shootout with each offense only being stopped by turnovers – Cato threw four picks and Doughty two – Marshall rallied back in the final moments with ten points on a Justin Haig field goal and a five-yard Eric Frohnapfel touchdown catch with 39 seconds to play. Tyler Higbee caught three touchdown passes for WKU, and Davonte Allen and Hyleck Foster each scored twice for Marshall. 
What Else? Western Kentucky QB Brandon Doughty completed 34-of-50 passes for 491 yards and eight touchdowns with two interceptions, and Marshall QB Rakeem Cato completed 29-of-46 passes for 417 yards and seven touchdowns with four interceptions 
– WKU RB Leon Allen ran 33 times for 237 yards and a touchdown, and caught five passes for 51 yards and a score.
