Former Wright State Coach Billy Donlon will get another opportunity to be a Division I head coach. Donlon, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant at Northwestern after spending a year on Michigan’s staff, signed a six-year contract with UMKC that runs through March 31, 2025.
Donlon will earn a base salary of $350,000.04 annually with the opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. They’re outlined below.
If UMKC terminates Donlon’s contract before its expiration, the university owes him 80 percent of the annual base salary for the duration of the contract.
If Donlon were to leave UMKC before the contract expires, he owes UMKC 80 percent of the annual base salary for the duration of the contract, paid in equal monthly installments until the contract term is over.
