Urban Meyer’s Emotional Reaction To Jerry Kill’s Retirement

Jerry Kill’s emotional press conference shocked the college football world on Wednesday. Kill, who was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2005, has battled his seziures on and off the field.
And it finally came to a point where Kill decided to walk away to benefit the program, himself and his family.
He inherited a 3-9 team and returned the Gophers to a respectable status as a program with a winning record — competing for bowl games and recruits. He went 29-29 as the head coach of Minnesota.
But, as he said in his press conference, there’s more to life than just football. And while Minnesota might not be competing for a Big Ten title, one head coach of a team that is competing spoke up about Kill’s retirement.

Obviously, all of college football took an emotional hit with Kill’s announcement. He’s earned the respect of many coaches and players around the game.
