Villanova vs. Miami live stream and TV information for Thursday’s Sweet 16 matchup.

The No. 2 seed Villanova Wildcats will take on the No. 3 seed Miami Hurricanes in the first regional semifinal in Louisville on Thursday.

The Wildcats (31-5) are headed to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2009 as they blew out the Iowa Hawkeyes 87-69 on Sunday. Villanova exploded for 54 points in the first half and never looked back the rest of the way. The ‘Cats were lights out from just about everywhere on the floor as they shot 52.6 percent from three and were nearly 60 percent from the field.

The Hurricanes (27-7) are one of six teams from the ACC to make the Sweet 16 and did so by edging out the Wichita State Shockers 65-57 Saturday night. Wichita State erased a 21-point lead in the second half, but Angel Rodriguez hit a key three to put Miami in the lead for good. The Hurricanes were outrebounded and committed an uncharacteristic amount of turnovers (16), but were electric scoring the basketball. Miami was 7-of-12 from downtown and shot 55.3 percent from the field overall.

Villanova and Miami will meet for the 24th time on Thursday. The Wildcats lead the all-time series, but Miami has won nine of the last 13 meetings between the two programs.
