Virginia Tech Lands 4-Star Shooting Guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Four-star shooting guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker has committed to the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Virginia Tech’s class of 2017 has gotten off to a fantastic start with 4-star shooting guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker announcing his commitment to the Hokies.

The first member of Virginia Tech’s 2017 class, Alexander-Walker is the fifth 4-star prospect that Buzz Williams has added during his tenure in Blacksburg.

A native of Toronto, Alexander-Walker chose the Hokies over the likes of USC, Maryland, Cincinnati, and Baylor.

He played this past season at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, leading his squad to an impressive 27-3 record.

Alexander-Walker has the ability to torch it from behind the arc and can also do a lot of damage in the mid-post area. He’s athletic, does well in transition, has demonstrated some impressive footwork, and has shown the potential to be an elite passer. He can stand to bulk up, but that will come.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a Scout Top 100 player, coming in at No. 74, and the No. 18 shooting guard in the 2017 class.
