Amara Darboh gave Michigan the lead in the second overtime on a 25-yard touchdown catch, and the defense finally held on a broken up pass at the goal line for the win. Jehu Chesson caught four of Jake Rudock’s six touchdown passes with a five-yard grab on the final play of regulation to force overtime – after a shaky extra point. Indiana kept pace with a massive day from Jordan Howard, who ran 35 times for 238 yards and two scores, and caught a seven-yard touchdown pass, but he was stuffed in the second overtime leading to a Nate Sudfeld run and the final misfire. The Wolverines outgained the Hoosiers 581 yards to 527, but were flagged 13 times – Indiana was flagged nine times.

Player of the Game: Michigan QB Jake Rudock completed 33-of-46 passes for 440 yards and six scores with a pick, and he led the team with seven carries for 64 yards. WR Jehu Chesson caught ten passes for 207 yards and four scores.

LeShun Daniels became this week’s rushing star for Iowa with three touchdown runs from three, two, and 51 yards out, with the last one finally giving the team a little bit of breathing room late. Minnesota stayed in the game with Mitch Leidner running for a touchdown and finding Brandon Lingen for a 40-yard score. It was RB Shannon Brooks who stepped up making plays in the second half, finding Drew Wolitarsky for a 42-yard touchdown and, with 1:16 to go, running for a three-yard score to pull within five, but the onside kick attempt failed. C.J. Beathard added two one-yard scores for the Hawkeyes.

Player of the Game: Iowa RB LeShun Daniels ran 26 times for 195 yards and three scores.

Purdue at Northwestern

Justin Jackson fought his way to a two-yard touchdown run to break a 14-14 tie late in the fourth quarter in a fight of a game. Purdue got a 68-yard Domonique Young touchdown catch and a two-yard Markell Jones scoring run, but Northwestern scored first on a 32-yard Warren Long run and getting a one-yard Long run to take the lead in the second. Three turnovers were a huge problem for the Wildcats, but they were able to go 58 yards on 12 plays for the game-winning score.

Ohio State at Illinois

J.T. Barrett ran for a score and threw for another, and Ezekiel Elliott ran for second half touchdowns from one and ten yards out for the relatively easy win. Barrett found Michael Thomas for a 24-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and ran for a six-yard score in the second, while the defense only gave up a 46-yard Taylor Zalewski field goal. The Illini gained just 261 total yards with a mere 20 on the ground.

Player of the Game: Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott ran 27 times for 181 yards and two scores.

Macgarrett Kings caught a ten-yard touchdown pass from Tyler O’Connor, and Riley Bullough took an interception 44 yards for a score as Michigan State got through a sluggish performance and an apparent injury to Connor Cook for the win. Maryland tied the game in the first on a one-yard Brandon Ross run, but the Spartans scored 21 unanswered points and the defense came through with five takeaways to overcome the three turnovers from the O. Maryland outgained MSU 289 yards to 262.

Player of the Game: Michigan State DT Malik McDowell made eight tackles with a forced fumble, a half a sack, and 4.5 tackles for loss.

Nebraska at Rutgers

Tommy Armstrong threw three interceptions, but he also threw three touchdown passes including a 44-yarder to Alonzo Moore and a 15-yard play to Jordan Westerkamp on the way to a 21-0 lead. Rutgers pulled within seven in the second half on a five-yard touchdown catch from Chris Laviano, but Nebraska answered right back on an 11-yard Cethan Carter catch. Rutgers missed all four of its fourth down tries.

Player of the Game: Nebraska P Sam Foltz averaged 40.4 yards per punt putting four of his five kicks inside the 20.
