Sept. 27 Colorado State 24, at Boston College 21 
And You Care Because … Facing fourth down with just over a minute to play, Colorado State got a 12-yard Garrett Grayson to Charles Lovell touchdown pass from 12 yards out to complete the rally for the win. BC got out to a 14-0 lead on short touchdown runs from Jon Hilliman and Tyler Murphy, but Colorado State came back with a 21-yard Rashard Higgins touchdown catch and a six-yard scoring run from Treyous Jarrells to tie it up. Hilliman ran for a five-yard score late in the third to give BC the lead, but it was all Colorado State in the second half as the D held up against the Eagle ground game. 
What Else? Colorado State QB Garrett Grayson completed 27-of-41 passes for 268 yards and two scores with two picks 
– Boston College QB Tyler Murphy completed 12-of-18 passes for 169 yards with a pick, and ran 16 times for 79 yards and a touchdown 
– Colorado State RB Dee Hart ran ten times for 117 yards 
– Boston College RB Jon Hilliman ran 24 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns

Sept. 27 at Air Force 28, Boise State 14 
And You Care Because … In a huge win for the program, Air Force scored the first 28 points of the game with Garett Brown, Kale Pearson and Jacobi Owens all coming up with short scores and Will Conant hitting field goals from 25 and 21 yards out. The problem? Boise State turnovers, giving up seven of them with five interceptions. The Broncos tried to rally late with Ryan Finley throwing two touchdown passes, but it was way too late. 
What Else? Air Force’s Weston Steelhammer picked off three passes 
– Boise State QB Grant Hedrick completed 18-of-33 passes for 209 yards and four picks, and Ryan Finley completed 12-of-25 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns with one interception
– Air Force QB Kale Pearson completed 5-of-11 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown and ran 20 times for 127 yards and a score. 
– Rushing yards: Air Force 287 – Boise State 97

Sept. 26 Fresno State 35, at New Mexico 24 
And You Care Because … Down three late in the third quarter, Fresno State took control of the game with 14 unanswered points starting with an 11 play, 81-yard drive finishing up with a Joel Quezada touchdown run, and finishing it off with another long drive – going 80 yards – with QB Brian Burrell running for a three-yard score. Burrell threw three touchdown passes including a ten-yarer to Quezada and a 23-yarder to Josh Harper, but New Mexico controlled the game in the first half helped by touchdown runs from 18 yards out from Jhurell Pressley and 26-yards out from Lamar Jordan, but the defense couldn’t stop the Fresno State attack.
What Else? Fresno State QB Brian Burrell completed 27-of-39 passes for 318 yards and three scores with a pick, and ran 13 times for 63 yards and a touchdown 
– New Mexico RB Crusoe Gongbay ran 28 times for 164 yards 
– Fresno State RB Marteze Waller ran 19 times for 163 yards.

Sept. 27 Nevada 21, San Jose State 10 
And You Care Because … After sputtering all game long, Nevada rallied in the fourth quarter with 14 unanswered points on a two-yard Cody Fajardo touchdown run and a 27-yard interception return for a score from Nigel Haikins. Fajardo started out the scoring on a 14-yard run in the second quarter, but San Jose State got a 32-yard Austin Lopez field goal at the end of the second quarter and took the lead in the third on a 24-yard Tim Crawley run.
What Else? Nevada QB Cody Fajardo completed 10-of-18 passes for 64 yards and ran 13 times for 64 yards and two scores 
– San Jose State QB Joe Gray completed 32-of-46 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns
– Nevada was 0-for-9 on third down conversions 
– Total yards: San Jose State 446 – Nevada 256

Sept. 27 at San Diego State 34, UNLV 17 
And You Care Because … Down 10-7 after Devonte Boyd caught a 44-yard touchdown pass to put UNLV ahead, San Diego State scored 24 straight points helped by three short touchdown runs from Donnel Pumphrey to go along with the 710yard scoring dash he cranked out in the first quarter. UNLV finally got back on the board with a two-yard Blake Decker run, but 14 points is as close as it got with SDSU adding on Donny Hageman’s second field goal of the fourth quarter.
What Else? San Diego State RB Donnel Pumphrey ran 22 times for 167 yards and four scores, and he missed on his one pass attempt 
– UNLV QB Blake Decker completed 18-of-31 passes for 346 yards and a score with two picks 
– Total yards: San Diego State 466 – UNLV 455
– Average yards per carry: SDSU 6 – UNLV 2.9

Sept. 27 at Michigan State 56, Wyoming 14 
And You Care Because … Michigan State rolled with ease as Connor Cook ran for a score and threw two first half touchdown passes on the way to a 42-14 halftime lead. Keith Mumphrey ran for a 33-yard score and Dalton Williams ran for a short score, and Tyler O’Connor stepped in and found Mumphery for a six-yard score. Wyoming got a 57-yard scoring dash from Shaun Wick and a J.D. Krill four-yard touchdown catch in the first half, but the game was well out of reach. 
What Else? Michigan State RB Jeremy Langford ran 16 times for 137 yards and a score 
– Wyoming RB Shaun Wick ran five times for 85 yards and as core, with 57 coming on his scoring play 
– Three MSU quarterbacks combined to completed 16-of-20 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns 
– Turnovers; Wyoming 3 – Michigan State 0
