Oct. 11 at Baylor 61, TCU 58 
And You Care Because … In one of the craziest games in the history of the Big 12, and the highest scoring game ever between two AP top ten teams, TCU appeared to be on its way to a blowout with a 49-yard interception return for a touchdown from Marcus Mallet for a 58-37 lead with under 12 minutes to play. And then Bryce Petty went to work, leading the way to 24 unanswered points with two 90+ yard touchdown drives in 1:23 on the first, finishing with a 28-yard pass to Antwan Goodley, and needing under a minute on the second with a 25-yard scoring pass to Corey Coleman to tie it. TCU had its chance, but misfired on a 4th and 3 from the Baylor 45, and Petty got it done taking the Bears 44 yards leading to a Chris Callahan game-winning field goal as time ran out. Lost in the insane ending was a huge day from the TCU offense, with B.J. Catalon returning a kickoff for a touchdown and running for two scores, but Petty and the passing game were too much with six touchdown passes including a 66-yarder to Goodley and a 67-yarder to KD Cannon. 
What Else? Baylor QB Bryce Petty completed 28-of-55 passes for 510 yards and six touchdowns with two interceptions, and ran for 23 yards. 
– TCU QB Trevone Boykin completed 21-of-47 passes for 287 yards and a score, and ran 18 times for 45 yards 
– Baylor receivers: Antwan Goodley 8 catches, 158 yards, 2 TD. Corey Coleman 8 catches, 144 yards, 2 TD, KD Cannon 6 catches, 124 yards, 1 TD

Oct. 11 West Virginia 37, at Texas Tech 34 
And You Care Because … West Virginia’s Josh Lambert hit three field goals including a 55-yard bomb as time ran out to break a 34-34 tie and cap a wild comeback. Texas Tech held a 34-20 lead late, but the Mountaineers scored 17 unanswered points as Clint Trickett found Kevin White for a 26-yard touchdown, Rushel Shell ran for a one-yard score, and the O went 42 yards in the final 52 seconds giving Lambert the chance. Shell also ran for a 12-yard touchdown, but Texas Tech was rolling in the first half with Davis Webb throwing three touchdown passes including two to Devin Lauderdale from 34 and 76 yards out. Trickett kept the Mountaineers alive with a 56-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Thompson late in the third quarter, but Texas Tech forced the comeback attempt on a 69-yard touchdown run from Justin Stockton.

– West Virginia QB Clint Trickett completed 28-of-44 passes for 301 yards and two scores, and Kevin White caught 13 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown 
– Texas Tech QB Davis Webb completed 28-of-46 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns with an interception 
– Texas Tech RB DeAndre Washington ran 29 times for 132 yards, and West Virginia’s Wendell Smallwood ran 15 times for 123 yards and Rushel Shell ran 24 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns

Oct. 11 Oklahoma State 27, at Kansas 20 
And You Care Because … Oklahoma State avoided a disaster after Kansas tied it at 20 on a 35-yard Matthew Wyman field goal with a Tyreek Hill kickoff return for a score with under seven minutes to play. The Oklahoma State offense was stuffed for most of the game, but Desmond Roland ran for a 33-yard score and Jhajuan Seales caught a seven-yard touchdown pass for a 20-7 first half lead. That was it for the O, and Kansas pulled back into the tie with two Wyman field goals and a 23-yard Corey Avery touchdown run, but then Hill struck for the win. 
What Else? Total yards: Kansas 288 – Oklahoma State 161 
– Kansas QB Michael Cummings completed 20-of-37 passes for 288 yards and an interception 
– Oklahoma State QB Daxx Garman completed 17-of-31 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown with an interception 
– Oklahoma State WR Tyreek Hill caught four passes for 52 yards, returned two punts for 19 yards, and returned a kickoff 99 yards for a score

Oct. 11 at Iowa State 37, Toledo 30 
And You Care Because … In a wild fourth quarter, Toledo pulled within seven on a four-yard Marc Remy touchdown catch in the final minute, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a huge day from Iowa State QB Sam B. Richardson, who threw three touchdown passes including short scores in the fourth quarter to E.J. Bibbs and Allen Lazard to pull away from a 23-23 tie. Cole Netten nailed three field goals for the Cyclones, and Jeremiah Detmer added three of his own for the Rockets, including a 41-yarder early in the fourth to tie it. Terry Swanson, in place of an injured Kareem Hunt, ran for two touchdowns for Toledo. 
What Else? Iowa State QB Sam B. Richardson completed 37-of-53 passes for 351 yards and three touchdowns, and ran 13 times for 31 yards 
– Toledo QB Logan Woodside completed 22-of-36 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown, and ran nine times for 42 yards 
– Toledo WR Corey Jones caught 12 passes for 118 yards

Oct. 11 Oklahoma 31, Texas 26 
And You Care Because … Oklahoma overcame a sluggish day from the offense with a 91-yard kickoff return for a score from Alex Ross and an interception return for a score from Zach Sanchez for a 17-13 first half lead, and then came the O with Sterling Shepard catching a 24-yard touchdown pass and Samaje Perine running for a 13-yard score in the second half. Down 31-13, Texas made it interesting with Tyrone Swoopes bombing away with a six-yard touchdown pass to John Harris and a 12-yard touchdown run making it a five point game with five minutes to play, but the Sooners were able to run down the clock in to the final seconds.
