Pat Fitzgerald hates when Ryan Field has just as many opposing fans as Northwestern during the big games in Evanston. That means he’s going to be mad on Saturday when Wisconsin visits. The Wildcats are going to make this a game, but the Badgers – like they did last week against Nebraska – gets the last laugh with a late touchdown.

I’m going with the upset here. Northwestern has been playing much better ball lately, and it’s been quite some time since Wisconsin has won in Evanston. As some point, all of the injuries will catch up to the Badgers. That happens on Saturday when Justin Jackson carries the Wildcats to victory over the banged up Wisconsin defense.

    Robert Judin

Pat Fitzgerald’s Wildcats played a great game against Ohio State and barely came up short. It won’t be as close this time, though. Corey Clement will sneak into the end zone twice, and Alex Hornibrook will protect the football to help the Badgers pick up another win.

    Dave Miller

Corey Clement and Justin Jackson, prepare to take center stage. Both running backs should have productive days, although the Wisconsin defense is allowing the fewest rushing yards per game in the conference. This has nail-biter written all over it. Expect Ryan Field to be a sea of red, and expect the Badgers’ No. 3 total defense in the Big Ten to be the difference in a very close win.

    Brian Stultz

Hooray for a lot of defense and not much offense. The Badgers are grinding out games that remind you of a time before the forward pass was made legal. Still, that is how the Badgers have almost always been, and it is a formula that has helped the win a lot of games.

Northwestern has been playing better since the disastrous start, including a close loss to Ohio State in Columbus last week. This game is in Evanston, but with all of the Wisconsin alumni in Chicago, it will be a 50/50 split for fans. The Badgers pull another one out and get closer to boring us in a big bowl game.
