It is supposed to be in the 60’s here in Chicago this Saturday, so everyone will be in a good mood, thinking that just maybe this winter will be kind to us the rest of the year, and then … BOOM. We will probably have 30 inches of snow in March. Mother Nature is such a tease.

In college football news, we tell you why Alabama and Nick Saban will keep on getting the cream of the crop in recruiting despite a high school coach speaking out against the Crimson Tide’s ethics, LSU’s team leader in sacks from 2016 has left the Tigers indefinitely, and Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly was not invited to the NFL Combine due to off-the-field issues. Here are some other newsworthy notes in the latest college football news roundup.

Another Change in Tuscaloosa – There has been a lot of staff changes for Alabama since losing the national championship game to Clemson, and the latest is the director of football operations Justin Dickens.

Dickens joined the Crimson Tide in 2015, and now joins Lane Kiffin (who left before the title game), Steve Sarkisian, Billy Napier and Mario Cristobal as members of Saban’s staff that have exited.

Rowing It in Minnesota – New Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck and Western Michigan have reached an agreement so Fleck can use the phrase “Row The Boat” with the Golden Gophers now.

For the use, Fleck will pay Western Michigan $50,000 through five years to endow a scholarship for a Bronco football player.

My Eyes! – To promote the upcoming wrestling meet between No. 1 Oklahoma State and No. 2 Penn State, Cowboys head football coach Mike Gundy made a video wearing a wrestling singlet. Ladies, you are welcome!
