This is a true statement: I have not owned a pair of jeans for five years. Yes, I am not joking with you. I’m just not a jeans guy, but I finally broke down the other day and ordered a pair since I was told by an unnamed source that I “dress like a 65-year-old man.” I took that to heart, and in the extreme near future, I will be rocking some jeans like a bad ass … or something like that.

In college football news, the recruiting dead period is over so recruiting insider Robert Judin gives some insight on where some top prospects will end up, we list five potential replacements for Rhett Lashlee as Auburn’s offensive coordinator, and Cal has extended an offer to Wisconsin defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox to be its next head coach. Here are some other newsworthy notes in the latest college football news roundup.

Bye, Tallahassee – Florida State wide receiver Travis Rudolph has decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2017 NFL Draft. Rudolph led the Seminoles in receiving the past two seasons, including this year that saw him make 56 receptions for 840 yards and seven touchdowns.

Rudolph will finish seventh in FSU history with 153 career receptions.

Buckeye Pipeline – Luke Fickell hasn’t been the head coach at Cincinnati for a month and he is already using his ties in Columbus to lure in a talented player in former four-star quarterback Torrance Gibson.

Gibson was a big-time recruit for the Buckeyes in 2015 but would never play a down for Urban Meyer’s team. He announced that would be joining Fickell with the Bearcats on Thursday.

“These last few months have been crazy for me and family, but the craziness is finally over,” Gibson posted on Twitter. “Time to start my next chapter at the University of Cincinnati.”

Cause I’m A Jay-Jay-Jay-Jay-Jayhawk – Kansas head coach David Beaty might only be 2-22 in his two years in Lawrence, but he just hired a good offensive coordinator away from conference foe TCU in Doug Meacham. Meacham spent three seasons in Fort Worth, leading two of the offenses to finishes in the top ten of both total and scoring offense.
